The fabric archive at Stardust Jump grows twice a year, in spring and in autumn, when we visit the Nishijin district in Kyoto to look at what the season has produced. The autumn 2026 additions arrived in October and are now available for all bespoke commissions.

The six new colourways

Deep burgundy: a dark red with very little orange in it, which photographs almost black but reads as a rich, saturated red in person. It pairs well with the 40-gram Calais lace in ivory.

Forest green: a mid-depth green with a slight sheen that shifts between green and teal depending on the light source. This is the first green in the archive.

Warm taupe: a neutral that sits between beige and grey, with enough warmth to work against most skin tones. It is the most versatile of the six new additions and the one we expect to use most often.

Three more additions

Dusty rose: softer and more muted than last spring's blush, with a slightly greyed quality that keeps it from reading as pink. It works well as a base for ivory or white lace overlay.

Off-white with gold warp: the most unusual of the six. The gold warp thread is subtle. It does not read as metallic from a distance. But it gives the fabric a warmth that plain ivory does not have. Particularly suited to bridal commissions.

Slate grey: a cool grey that sits between blue and silver. It reads differently in natural and artificial light, which makes it one of the more interesting fabrics in the archive for pieces that will be worn in varied settings.

How to request samples

Fabric samples for all six new colourways are available on request. We send them by post with a short note about the weight and drape of each one. A photograph is useful for colour reference, but the sample is what tells you how the fabric actually feels and moves.

To request samples, use the contact form and mention which colourways you are interested in. We post them once we have the request and a delivery address.

If you have been thinking about a commission and want a fabric to build it around, the autumn colourways are a good place to start. Write to us and mention the ones you like.
